Amazon Prime Day Scheduled to Take Place on October 13 and 14

Amazon Prime Day scheduled to take place on October 13 and 14

Prime Day, a yearly event organized by Amazon exclusively for its Prime customers wherein it would be giving out exclusive deals on many items, is slated to be held on October 13th and 14th this year. The announcement came from Amazon itself. The tech giant claims that about a million deals are expected to be available for items from all the categories during the complete course of the event. Products from well-known brands such as Panasonic, Roborock, Keurig, Under Armour, Coleman, Adidas, Lacoste, Marvel, Ticwatch, and more are expected to be displayed during the event. These brands would be having amazing discounts on their items.

Amazon is looking forward to boosting small merchandise on its platform by encouraging its customers to purchase items from these traders. These purchases can be carried out starting today till October 12th, a day before the Prime Day event. Any Prime customers spending about $10 for these miniature businesses are bound to receive a $10 credit, which can be used for making purchases on Prime Day. The organization intends to invest about $100 million or even more to help out these small-scale businesses right from Prime Day until the festive season lasts.

Normally, Amazon’s Prime Day event is held in July every year. However, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedules of many events have been pushed forward this year. Hence undoubtedly, the Prime Day event is slated for October 13-14.

Jamil Ghani, vice-president of Amazon Prime, went on to say, “We think Prime Day this year will be bigger than it has ever been. It certainly has been an unprecedented year, and we have been preparing for what follows all year. We think October 13 and 14 is the right time to kick off a successful and safe holiday season.”

Amazon makes huge profits from this two-day event. According to analysts, the total sale amount during Prime Day 2019 was a whopping $6 billion or perhaps even more. And it is worth noting the amazing discounts offered by the tech giant for its hardware-based products during the Prime Day event. Therefore, customers on the lookout of a few useful items such as a Kindle e-reader or an Amazon Echo may consider looking out for the same during the Prime Days.

Recently, Amazon revealed its list of upcoming hardware. However, most of these items are expected to be shipped after the Prime Day event. Therefore, purchasers need to make a note of the same during shopping. For instance, Amazon has listed out an early offer on Echo Dots, where it would be giving out two of these for $39.98. However, the new ball-shaped Echo Dot would be available only by October 22nd.

Prime Day begins at 3 AM ET starting October 13th. People from the US, UK, UAE, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, Turkey, and Brazil can grace the event.

During the coronavirus pandemic, many people have been purchasing many products from Amazon since they wanted to avoid visiting the stores owing to the virus scare. During Q2, Amazon recorded a total sales of $88.9 billion, which was about 40% higher than those of the Q2 sales recorded in 2019. The net income during Q2 this year was reported to be $5.2 billion.
