Apple’s New Headphones to Have Swappable Ear Pads

Quite a few companies can boast of a rage their headphones create even before they get launched. And Apple indeed has been one of them! This time, Apple is reportedly working on its new headphones that will have swappable ear pads and headbands.

These premium high-end headphones will be hitting the markets by the end of this year. Also, the company is reportedly working to make the whole thing interchangeable. What that means is most of its parts could be interchanged.

This interchange based design is mostly for users and owners who like to switch parts during exercises or sessions. The headphones have also got in-built headbands that can be magnetically attached. These are going to be the over-ear headphones, which is also going to be the most premium variety of headphones available in the market.

As per Bloomberg, the brand had been planning to release the headphones later this year. But, it seems that the global pandemic and health crisis resulting from the same could divert the company’s plans. For now, we can hope that the company will put forth its creation by the end of this year for waiting buyers.

Such a premium over-ear variety of headphones are not unique in that there are few companies (one of them being Sony and the other being Bose) that are building and selling similar headphones in the market right now. In fact, they have pioneered in this field and have actually managed to garner a loyal owner base.

These headphones are surely going to be high end, given the number of options and tools available in them for the owner to take pride. The headphones are also known to consist of Siri support that is recognized for the most popular voice control. In addition to that, there will be some built-in touch controls as well.

Again, there should be the feature of noise cancellation, too, among other specialties. Noise cancellation was an important element in Bose’s Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. Bose’s headphones are among the best in the market all over the world.

The onus rests on the shoulders of Apple now. These headphones can even imitate to a great extent the likes of Sony’s 1000 XM3, Bose’s Headphones 700, which are known for their Noise Cancelling property, or Sennheiser’s third-gen Wireless headphones also known as Momentum.

The rivals are already there in the market, and hopefully, they too are getting better. If that is the case, the price of these new over the ear headphones will not be too high. In any case, the price should be contained in the range of $ 350 to $ 400.

There were reports earlier that suggested that Apple was planning to move beyond the Beats’ owned headphones that it purchased. Apple had become keen on becoming self-sufficient and producing its headphones.

If you go by the reports, Apple has given 2 years to build the headphones. The devices were scheduled to get launched by the end of this year. But, the ongoing corona pandemic has complicated launch dates.
