B&H has revealed that DJI’s Mini 2 Drone is ready to arrive. Considered to be a successor to the Mavic Mini, which arrived in 2019, Mini 2 is no less than its predecessor. This one is coming with a whole lot of enhancements and updates. For instance, its video capturing features have undergone a lot of enhancements. Likewise, its flying capabilities and overall performance too has been improved to a large extent.
The transmission characteristics have also seen an improvement. That ensures longer and more reliable connectivity. The DJI Mini 2 is equipped with certain smart modes and a few ones that have been programmed. These modes enable the user flying the drone to snap a few attractive clicks with the aid of a few taps here and there. Furthermore, many tutorials have been packed for beginners, along with a few learning methodologies that guide budding pilots to master the art of flying this drone quickly.
The DJI Mini 2 is housed with many amusing, secure, and innovative accessories that enable its users to customize the complete setup with their self-made additions. Roger Luo, President of DJI, went on to say, “Mavic Mini was a monumental breakthrough for DJI and for drone pilots across the world, as its unprecedented combination of weight, safety, performance, and overall value became the entry point for countless new drone pilots and fans. DJI Mini 2 enhances those key aspects, packing larger drone performance in an approachable, small design in the safest drone category that is perfect for beginners and will also impress more experienced pilots.”
The Mini 2 at a glance
As the name suggests, the DJI Mini 2 has a mini frame. It consists of a folding mechanism that enables the drone’s easy portability and makes carrying it very simple. The Mini 2 weighs about a quarter kilo, which hardly increases the weight of the travel bag. Although small, its performance improvements are large. Equipped with the OcuSync 2.0 transmission technology, this one promises a solid and durable connection of the drone with its remote-controller.
The DJI Mini 2 also comes with the dual-frequency mechanism, which ensures the complete absence of any interference. Moreover, this one comes with a very high range of transmission, going up to 10 km. That is around 150% more than the transmission range of Mavic Mini.
The enhanced motors within Mini 2 enable the drone to fly for about 31 minutes. It can also sustain well in winds with speeds ranging up to 24 mph. The DJI Mini 2 has been designed so that it becomes very easy for users to fly the drone. This one can also be operated with any issues daily. The camera fitted within the drone captures live events and sends the same to the user’s mobile phone so that the exact location of Mini 2 can be determined.
Some other characteristics of the Mini 2 drone include:
- Geo-Fencing: Disallows the drone from entering highly secure areas
- Return to Home: On activating this mode, the drone comes back to its pilot
- Altitude Lock: Sets the maximum limit up to which the drone is allowed to fly
The drone also contains a good quality camera capable of capturing high-resolution images and videos. The camera comes with a wide variety of image mode options. Also, these images can be easily shared with others within a few seconds.
