Honor announced the Honor V30 and V30 Pro in an event in Beijing, China. Honor has upgraded the specifications of V30 and V30 Pro, which will be carrying a 990 Kirin processor with 5G connectivity. This new released V30 series actually succeeds V20 series, which was released last year.

Honor V30 and V30 Pro are good upper mid-range phones. This actually applies to all the V series, which are great at providing the best phones at its cheapest cost. The Honor will always be released as a global phone and is the best at providing competitive specifications to other top companies.

The Honor V30 and V30 Pro have a similar 6.57-inch 1080p screen. It also has a double-wide hole-punch cutout, and we can say that it is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. But more than that, Honor has an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera and also a regular 32-megapixel unit.

The battery capacity of the Honor V30 series is 4,100mAh, and it has a 40W charging capacity. And the speed of the charging is high that it will most likely reach 70 percent in half an hour. But, we can say that it is not as fast as the Oppo phone charging capacity. But, we need to agree that the Honor V30 series is competitive in the global market.

According to news, Honor also provides a wireless charging capacity of 27W that charges 52 percent in half an hour. There is also some difference between the Honor V30 and V30 Pro. Honor V30 has a Kirin 990 processor with a separate Barong 5000 5G modem while the Honor V30 Pro has the same Kirin 990 processor with integrated next-gen 5G connectivity.

Moreover, this is the first phone released by Honor with 5G connectivity. Honor V30 and V30 Pro have the same 40-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto. It also has the same dual selfie lenses. Another major difference between both are, V30 Pro has a 12-megapixel high-resolution ultra-wide camera, and the V30 has an 8-megapixel sensor.

In terms of cost, the V30 costs 3,299 yuan, which is $370, and this is just the price of the 6GB/128GB RAM and storage. And for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, the price is 3,699 yuan that is $525. And the price of the V30 Pro is 3,899 yuan that is $550 for 8GB/128GB RAM and storage. And for 8GB/256GB RAM and storage, the price is 4,199 yuan that is &$600.

The release of Honor in the western region is still a question because there is no word of the Honor being released in countries other than China. And also, the major difference between the Honor V30 series and the Honor V20 series is the processor. The V20 shipped with a Kirin 980 processor that, too, it has 4G compatibility only. And the V20 had a 48-megapixel camera and a hole punch selfie cutout.

So, obviously, there are many upgrades from the processor to the selfie cutouts. The Honor V30 series display is an LCD with an HD view. Also, the phone has five cameras. That is two at the front side and three cameras at the back. Also, there is a fingerprint scanner in the V30 phone, which is similar to that of the V20 series.

The V30 Pro has a faster lens compared to the V30 Pro. The Pro has F/1.6 lens, and normal V30 has F/1.8 optics, which is slower compared to the Pro. The V30 series share the Sony IMX600 sensor, which is 40 megapixel. This also has dual OIS and laser AF. And, also the 8-megapixel telephoto camera is with a 3x optical zoom.

The V30 Pro sensor has a good video recording capacity with a 16:9 ratio and also has an F/2.2 lens. And the normal V30 has an F/2.4 ultra-wide camera and has a conventional sensor. And the front camera of 32MP comes with a super night node and another ultra-wide snapper of 8 MP with 105 degrees.

Moreover, for the best gaming experience, Honor has combined GPU Turbo and Kirin Gaming+2.0. And it uses Android 10, and the software is Magic UI 3.0.1. The V30 series launched in four colors, namely orange, pearl white, blue, black. And pre-ordering for the handset starts on December 5th.
