Lenovo announces ThinkPad X1 setting a benchmark for Foldable Laptops

Well, you might think what’s new about foldable laptops. Laptops are already able to fold. But, this concept of the foldable laptop is a bit different. The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 foldable laptop folds across the screen. It means that the laptop has a foldable display. You can easily fold the display and work on your laptop according to your comfort. There has already been chaos in the gadget market regarding foldable devices. Earlier this year, Samsung Galaxy Fold was released which was not well received due to certain technical problems that it created due to its “foldable” technology.

After seeing the reviews of Samsung Galaxy Fold, people are still in doubt whether foldable laptops would be able to work efficiently or not. Lenovo has already released the first look of ThinkPad X1 which has a full foldable OLED display along with a virtual or wireless keyboard, which has already gained many fans. The ThinkPad X1 can only bend or fold in one direction and cannot be used when completely folded. This would be the first foldable laptop in the market and is already creating chaos among the people.

Though we don’t know what would be the approximate cost or how durable would the laptop be and would it create any breakdown or hamper the battery, but it is for sure that Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is going to set a benchmark for all its rivals by launching the first foldable laptop. The creators of ThinkPad X1 are still working on the model so as to see whether it can be folded both sides and where the battery would be positioned based on which other models would be created in the future.

The 13.3 inch ThinkPad X1 looks no less than a notebook when folded. When unfolded, the ThinkPad X1 can be used as a quick reminder where one can take notes with the help of a digital stylus. The ThinkPad also has a physical wireless keyboard which can be used when the laptop is not folded. One of the remarkable features of this ThinkPad is that when folded, the laptop does not give an appearance that it has been folded. There are no creases and one would feel like it’s basically a tablet.

With such amazing features, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is sure to create a buzz when it is launched. Though we won’t be able to see the ThinkPad before 2020 as stated by the company but still, the first look of the foldable laptop has created a lot of expectations in people.
