Nintendo switch sales unit has surpassed over 15 million, more than the lifetime sales of the Wii U. Nintendo Switch is a hybrid video game console developed by Nintendo Company. The device can be used as stationary as well as portable.
Wii U is also a video game console produced by the same company. The sales of Wii U was 13.56 million, making it the worst-selling console of the company. But as they say, “Past is history, future is a mystery but today is a gift and is therefore called present and who knows maybe it can turn out to be your best friend.” Nintendo’s switch is the best-selling U.S video game console for ten months in a row.
Nintendo Switch has proved to be a silver lining for its company after the fail sales record of its past creation, ‘Wii U’. The company announced on Thursday that, they had already sold over 15 million units in North America alone! As of 29th June 2019, Nintendo has sold nearly 38 million Switch consoles worldwide.
Japanese Company Nintendo’s swear rivals in the market of video game console, Microsoft and Sony are also nearing the end of their console life cycles and has already prepared for the launch of PlayStation 5 and Project Scarlett respectively, ahead of the 2020 holiday season. Well, competitors are the most honourable, and we are talking about Microsoft and Sony here at that!
Till date, more than 1 million units of 14 Nintendo games have been sold out, according to news report. With four of them selling more than that of 6 million units. Franchises like Mario kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey and super smash Bros. Ultimate has already broken records with their iterations selling faster than any other games.
After steady release of a number of video games, the Nintendo fraternity is planning to surprise its users and market with crispy gifts for the upcoming holiday seasons with launches of big games; Luigi’s Mansion 3 on 31st October, Pokémon Sword and I on 15th November and Ring fit Adventure rolling out in the stores on 18th October 2019.

“And this holiday, we are bringing the Nintendo Switch owners even more fresh and unique entertainment experiences like Ring fit Adventure, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon shield, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020, adding to the system large and diverse library of games.”
