Philipshas produced a new Hue light strip that would be arriving shortly. Now, this one is capable of being mounted behind the TV screen. And the best part is that it can sync with whatever is happening on the TV screen. In simple terms, the light strip can flash and glow following whatever plays on the TV screen.
In the past, too, there have been many Hue based light strips. However, this one, known as the Philips Hue Play gradient, can glow in multiple colors across various strips. So far, we have had light strips which glowed only in a single color. The latest Philips Hue light strip, when mounted on the TV, can provide a much more luminous and desirable effect.
However, to get the best out of this lightstrip, one would have to invest in a few additional items. To use this light strip on a TV, one would require the Hue Bridge and the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box. Likewise, if anyone wishes to mount this lightstrip on a computer monitor instead of the TV, then he would require the Hue Bridge along with the Philips Hue sync app. The pieces required to mount this device on either the TV or the computer screen come packed within the box.
Signify, responsible for creating the Hue system, has been developing many lighting pieces that are quite compatible with the entertainment industry for many years now. The main goal behind the same is to make the viewing of movies, television shows, video games, and many other aspects of entertainment much more fascinating in a room that is wonderfully lit up. It adds a lot of charm to the complete viewing experience. However, according to a few sources, the lights can become a source of distraction if they change colors too fast.
The Philips Hue lightstrip has been made such that it can be mounted on TVs whose screen size ranges from 55 to 85 inches. It costs anywhere between $200 to $240. This product will be available for sale in the US from October 16 onwards.
Other Signify products and updates that are all set to arrive
Apart from the Philips Hue light strip, Signify has a few more products in the line that would be arriving anytime soon and a few updated products. One of the new products is the Philips Hue Iris, a lamp that can light up any wall within its proximity. This lamp would be available in much more enhancing colors along with a very good lighting effect. It would also be having the latest finishing design. This one would cost about $100. However, lamps with metallic finishes would cost a little more.
Coming to the updates, the white and the colored variants of the Hue E12 candelabra bulbs are now being updated with Bluetooth connectivity. The Philips Hue Iris lamp would be available for sale starting October 16, whereas the updated bulbs are available immediately.
