Mercedes Benz launched an electric scooter in collaboration with Swiss company Micro Mobility Systems AG. This electric Scooter is a new member of the Mercedes EQ family. The company already acquired many steps for creating a Zero Emission technology with its innovative electric vehicles in the EQ family. In the current scenario, it is a good omen that most of the leading companies are taking the initiative to create a carbon free environment. Recently Honda took back from its Formula 1 dealership for “carbon neutrality by 2050” moto. Rolls Royce is also working on its engineering capabilities to reduce GHG emissions by 2030. Maersk, the world’s largest shipping container company, is also working to achieve Carbon neutrality by 2050. Not only automobile industries like Levi’s, Unilever, and IKEA are also working hard on producing products by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Recently Elon Musk also announced the carbon-free technology batteries for its EVs.
Mercedes Benz launched this eScooter with the collaboration of Swiss company Micro Mobility Systems AG. It is not the first collaboration for Micro Mobility Systems AG. It already got together with BMW in creating their last-mile electric Scooter. The BMW electric scooter already achieved its hype and somewhat reached the expectations. But this Micro and Mercedes combination electric scooter is more robust than the previous one. The monumental wheels with a 20 cm diameter of this Mercedes electric scooter make it unique and more comfortable than the other electric scooters.
Mercedes eScooter has a folding mechanism with a weight of 13.5kgs, making this Scooter handle very easily. You can even fold it and place it in the trunk of your car. The charging time of this eScooter is just in between 3-3.5 hours, and it can reach up to 70% of charging within 2 hours. The motor is with a maximum power of 500 W. The eScooter can be quickly accelerated to 20 km/h, and the battery range is 7.8 Ah for up to 25 km. The footboard is wide enough with its non-slip coating to comfortably place your both legs. The steering column of the Scooter is retractable so that it can be adjusted as per your height. There is a display mounted on the handle to view the speed, battery level, and riding mode of the vehicle. The handle is ergonomically featured with three brakes, one at the front and one brake for each of the two wheels at the back.
Germany already approved the road permit for the Scooter at 20km/h. Mercedes do not announce the stickered price and release date.
