Lately, the demand for wireless earbuds has increased. Presently, many brands are launching multiple products. With such a wide range of earphones coming up from various brands, one can find it a little tough to decide which one is good in terms of its quality and an affordable product to purchase. Companies like Sony, Apple, and Bose are launching products where a lot can be done with Bluetooth.
Now, Sennheiser is introducing a new pair of wireless earbuds that are comparatively cheaper and more affordable when compared to the Momentum True Wireless 2 Earphones. However, the best part about the newly launched earbuds is that their sound quality is very good. Known as “CX 400BT True Wireless”, this pair of earbuds comes for $199.95. Although the sound quality is pretty much good, this pair lacks the active noise cancellation technique.
The CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds come in both black and white colors. However, these look quite large and prominent within the ears, irrespective of the type of finish they bring in. Although these might look big in the ears, they are quite comfortable to wear. In any case, it is quite easy to tap the controls on both the sides owing to the big size of the earbuds. The controls for these earbuds can also be customized and adjusted with the help of Sennheiser’s app.
The drivers within the CX 400BT True Wireless measure 7mm. It is very similar to the drivers embedded within the True Momentum Wireless 2s that get them going. In a press release, Sennheiser stated that “This bespoke acoustic system delivers high-fidelity stereo sound with deep bass, natural mids, and clear, detailed treble.” Quite similar to the TMW2, the EQ can be set according to the user’s preferences with the company’s mobile app’s aid.
These earbuds are coming up with batteries that have a long-lasting life. They can function for seven hours at a stretch, thus enabling the users to listen to playlists for longer hours. The batteries can function for even 20 hours, provided they make use of the supply charging case.
These earbuds come with a Bluetooth 5.1 connection. These earbuds are compatible with SBC, AAC, and aptX for codecs. Presently, these earbuds can be paired with one device at a time. Also, the CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds are equipped with noise reduction microphones owing to which voice interactions seem natural and clear. Hence, this can be used without any doubts while making calls.
These earbuds cost $100 less than the True Momentum Wireless 2. However, there are some cons, too, with these. The noise cancellation feature is not present in CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds. Likewise, even the water resistance rating is absent here. And not to mention, the design may seem a little odd to many users, especially its large size. However, according to Sennheiser, everyday earphones of this sort very rarely come at $199.95. Many other fellow earphones are appearing at an equivalent price, giving Sennheiser a lot of tough competition. However, the audio quality of the company is a class apart. A detailed review of these earphones should be showing up within a few days.
