Sony’s Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II specifications pop out even before they are onboard

It looks like Sony is all set to jump into the world of 5G. The Japanese company seems that it is getting its next flagship model ready – the Sony Xperia 1 II. Although the company is yet to release any official notification regarding the same, it seems that the images and specifications of the device have already been leaked online, letting the world know how it actually would look like. Along with Xperia 1 II, images of Xperia 10 II have also shown up.

According to sources, the Xperia 1 II would be Sony’s first 5G phone. The Xperia 10 II is expected to have 4G LTE. The images and specifications of both these models have been shared by Max Weinbach, who is a part of XDA Developers. Initially, Sony had planned both these phones to be a part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) that was scheduled to happen on the 24th of February in Barcelona. However, things did not go as planned due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

How does the Xperia 1 II look like?

According to the details provided by Weinbach in his tweet, the Sony Xperia 1 II would be coming up with a 4K HDR OLED display screen measuring 6.5 inches. The display screen would have an aspect ratio of 21:9, and it would be coupled with Motion Blur Reduction technology. There could be a possibility of the refreshing rate of the display panel to be about 90Hz, although, this is yet to be confirmed. It seems like the smartphone device seems to contain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage space.

From the leaked images, it seems like the Xperia 1 II would be supportive of the DualShock 4 direct connection along with a Game Enhancer feature that has been designed exclusively for mobile game lovers.

From the images, it also looks like the device would be having a rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel 1/1.7-inch primary sensor. This would also be inclusive of a dual-phase detection autofocus (dual PDAF) lens and optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The camera sensor would be inclusive of two other 12-megapixel sensors as well as a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor. An autofocus lens (AF) would also be present along with this entire setup. The rear camera setup is expected to be manufactured by Zeiss optics. Other features that are likely to be offered are real-time Eye AF, up to 20fps AF/ AE tracking burst, and 60 times per second continuous AF/ AE calculation. The optical zooming capacity is expected to be 3X.

The Xperia 1 II is expected to have a selfie camera of about 8-megapixels. It would also contain a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as front-firing stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, audio integration, and technology comprising of 360 Reality Audio.

The smartphone device is expected to have a battery of 4000mAh. It would come with wireless charging support. Not to mention specifically, just like the previous Xperia models, this device too has a water-resistant build. The device would be available in Black and Purple colors. From the leaked images, it seems like the device would contain an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as support for NFC.

The Sony Xperia 1 II would support 5G on both low- and mid-band network configurations. However, this also implies that 5G coverage would not be available on a millimetre-wave (mmWave) network. This device is a successor of the Sony Xperia 1 that arrived last year.

Specifications of Sony Xperia 10 II

The leaked images reveal that the Xperia 10 II consists of a 6-inch full-HD+ OLED display. The display screen would be having an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a Video Image optimization feature. The device comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The Xperia 10 II consists of a triple rear camera setup that is inclusive of a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with a PDAF lens and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone also has a 3,600mAh battery, audio jack, and 4G LTE. An important fact to be noted here is that the device comes with an IP65/68-certified water-resistant build. It is available in Black and White colors.

It is important to keep in mind that the specifications and features that have been stated above for both the devices are all chalked out on the basis of the leaked images. The firm has not stated anything as of now with regard to the same. Even the launch date of both these devices is a mystery. Only time would tell on when these devices would come on board.
