Truecaller, the famous caller identification and spam blocking solutions on mobile devices are now planning to enter into the bus ticketing services. Similar to Google Pay and Paytm, the company is planning to offer online bus ticket booking services for its users. This Stockholm, Sweden based company is partnering with Redbus to enable bus ticket booking services for its users.
This new feature will make its debut for all the Android users in India. The users will be able to make the payment for tickets with the help of Truecaller Pay directly. Truecaller is offering first of its kind full stack integration where the app itself manages the user login credentials.
It also provides a one-stop payment option with the help of Truecaller Pay, a UPI service which offers money transfer, utility bill payments.
Sony Joy, Vice President and Head of Payments of Truecaller told Gadgets 360 in a telephonic conversation that they are happy with the new partnership and they believe that this partnership is going to give them more strength as they will be bringing in a new segment of users.
He explained that the bus ticket booking feature present on Redbus app would be recreated in the Truecaller app. Once the users enter the Truecaller Pay feature, they will find a mini app under the Apps section named “Redbus.” This mini-app can be accessed with the new update of the Truecaller app for Android users.
Once updated, the users will be able to search for the buses on Redbus mini-app. They have to enter the respective locations and the date of journey to get the list of buses. The search results will also provide details like bus fare and its arrival times. This feature is similar to the PAYTM or Google Pay ticket booking one.
